Posted Sun, June 15th, 2008 @ 11:06:59

When: Sunday June Where: Boulder Resevoir
Desc: Sprint Triathlon – 1/2 mile Swim, 17 mi Bike, 3.1 mi Run

All three guys placed top 10 in their respective divisions.

Looks like between the three, Hank was strongest in the pool, all three were very close on the bike and Richard nailed down the run. Very nice event guys. And congratulations on the top five AG placing, Mark.

Deadwood – Mickelson Trail Marathon

Posted Mon, June 9th, 2008 @ 10:06:55

Jun 8th, 2008 – Deadwood, SD
The area has been getting rain nearly every day lately and Friday and Saturday were no exceptions. Sunday we were very very lucky and didn’t have rain during the race but there were some VERY sloppy sections of the trail. It was cold (especially for me) at the start, but with my sweatshirt, pants, blanket and hand warmers I managed ok. The race was uphill (with some decent headwinds) for the first 1/2 and downhill for the second 1/2 (except for some hills between 19 to 20 which sucked). We started at 5358’ and peaked at 6225’ before dropping to 4569’ at the finish. I hit about 1:39 for the first 1/2 but then came in at 2:10:52 so I’ll take a negative split at any time. I didn’t re-injure my claves so I feel lucky.

35th annual Governor’s Cup in Helena, MT

Posted Mon, June 9th, 2008 @ 09:06:38

Our results guru ran a half marathon in his hometown of Helena, MT. A third overall finish and a deceiving time. His race report indicated he was under a 5:50 pace around mile 11 and hit a massive headwind and uphill finish over the last two miles. He was on pace to kill his PR had course conditions not dictated otherwise. [Reported By Gary]

Colfax Marathon

Posted Mon, May 19th, 2008 @ 11:05:46

So I was totally amazed and gratified about the (number) of the Altitude Adjusted crew (and Ray; “you idiot”) that turned out to cheer us on…….totally groovey! Every time I was getting ready to putz for awhile someone popped up and fed the Zen! Course was really tough, hardest one of my last 5 marathons and the heat did not help. Ran a good 4+ minutes faster than last year but fell 2 spots….regardless winning $$$ helps the post race discomfort to melt away. Dills “took” Dime’s dough!!!! (Dills and I took 2/3 of the total cash prizes for the men, the money was sponsored by the Prostate cancer Awareness Network” thus no dollars for the open race, just masters).
Thanks again, you guys (& gals) rock

[Reported By Steve Krebs]

Erik was running this race as a training run for an upcoming marathon and had planned on running steady 8 min miles/3:30 marathon pace, so he definitely ran better than expected.

Great Job you guys!

Mark hit up the duathlon this past weeked in Cherry Creek Resevoir and tore it up. Mark was the first non-elite entrant in the race and ran a pretty damn fast race. See Mark’s pictures from the race in the Photos section under ‘Montage’. Stay tuned for next weeks marathon results, Mark is hittin’ the Colfax marathon.
